I don't have a manual, but I would bet it says 10w-40 for the transmission and clutch, then 32:1 Kawasaki 2-stroke oil to be mixed with the gasoline (which makes fuel and is then poured into the fuel tank).

Is your question regarding what weight oil to use or what brand?

Hey kawirider. Yes , SAE 10-40 wt is what they recommend. If you look on the container you will see certain letters that tell you the API grade. Look for oils that have SE SF or SG SH. The amount you will need to fill it is 0.74QT so about 3/4s of a quart. When you check the site glass it will be properly filled when (level bike) the oil level comes to the center of the glass. There is also a note to check the oil level (after you kick the bike over 3 or 4 times.)Im sure adding the 0.74 QT will be perfect for ya .On the 2 stroke oil side of it , a 32:1 ratio is recommended to . I went with a Motul brand synthetic oil that (says 800 T2 on the container)they had at the kawasaki shop .I feel that will offer great lubrication .If you need any other specs just let me know .I "ll be glad to check what I can for you .

Two other things... First is to make sure your air filter is nice and clean. Second is the gap on your spark .The plug gap should be between .028 and .031 in . so check the gap on your plug to make sure its within that range.

i gap mine at .032 said that on ngk site....the reason i asked the oil question was because my ****er seems a little hard and im using kawachem 10w 40 and ive been putting .65L oil in mine because thats what it sas right next to the oil cap....it seems to be right in the middle of the sight glass....weird

ok your good on the plug gap , though you could tighten it a pinch to .030 . Glad your using the kawachem 10-40 thats fine . With oil level ,they mention kicking the bike over a few times maybe that drops the oil level just abit .. in any case if you have the level in the center of the sight glass youll be fine . maybe check it after you run it once I hope your air filter is clean that can have a effect on things . Id probably go back to the 32:1 2 stroke mix and see whats up from there. If it seemed too smokey and rich you could adjust the Air screw . That one easy and painless thing to do .I would only adjust the air screw with the bike running and warm so you could set it back if needed

I have no photos of the bike but its real clean and nice . The Kawasaki green is hard to beat ..My bike has started on the first kick each time . Im really happy about that part.Only started it about 6 times so far . anyway first start of the day i use the choke and no gas. Then after riding and its warm i use no choke no gas or just maybe 1/8 gas.I havent yet really ran it too hard to the limt or anything but i was staring to give it short bursts. i think the tranny shifts like butter and feel like one of the nicest shifts i ever had on a bike . I love the 6th gear to thats nice to have .I took the bike up a steepish hill i have in the woods and once i figured to gve it plenty of gas and not to lug it , man it that fun. The thing just blasts up the hill . I still have plenty of small saplings to cut to form a full track but that will get better each time i work on it .I have about 2 or 3 hours on the engine so ill be doing the oil soon and a fresh plug . Its not even a quart so thats cheap to buy . Then ill see how that plug is doing. I would say the bike is on the rich side but not fouling anything and running fine .oh I have to tighten the chain as it has streched.

A friend on mine maybe getting a KLX125 real son ill se how that 4 stroke 125 is to ride . My guess is it will have less over all power than the kx100.but should be good for a woods bike . eventually I may want something like a 250F but for now im very happy with my feather light kx100.. its easy to move in the garage and store also putting in in the truck is cake to ...

You from long island right kawirider ??? Im in westchester..Do you have a good place to ride ?? trails or a moto track ?? In the Spring i may get my bike down to Englishtown NJ to mess around on the track and see how it goes .This is much different than the cr250 i had .I bet it will be just as much fun .

A KX100 will be not just faster, but a LOT faster than a KLX125.

Today I got up early and went in the woods to snip some sapings that were on the trail .I then did the first oil change on the bike . Glad I did to cause there were tiny metal particles in the drained oil from the break in . My plug color was a darkish tan so thats fine . I did lean the air screw adjustment just a pinch see how that works out ..Chains adjusted now and bike is ready to go for tomorrow
